Parent Meeting Announced!

Updated: Oct 23, 2020

Dear Players and Parents -

We are excited about taking another step forward this year in our program, and looking forward to your help in making it a great experience for our Cass Family!

Tryouts begin on Oct 26 (Mon), and you can find a season calendar of practices and games in our previous website post ; )

Here is what you will need to know as part of our program this year:

Hello, Parents!

As we near the start of our season, I wanted to share some information with you.

Our mission as a coaching staff is to build a program that inspires your son to grow and develop not only as a student, but also as a strong teammate and leader...

For us to continue running a first-class program, and to take care of the many expenses we will have this season (player socks, hoodies, t-shirts, and personal gear, locker room upgrades, referees, equipment, security, pregame meals, travel, banquet awards, etc.), our team will need the funding to make this the tremendous experience I want our athletes to have.

And, as you might imagine the financial shortfall from NOT being able to host tournaments last spring / summer has left us with a negative balance going into the season…We will discuss this more at the:

2020-21 basketball parent meeting

November 9th at 7:00 PM in the Cass Media Center.

At the meeting, we will discuss program expectations and goals. We will also go over our season schedule, introduce the coaches, and present our financial budget.

The bottom line is that each player will need to generate $500 to cover the booster club so we can do what I’d like for our guys throughout the season. But that $500 does NOT need to come out of YOUR POCKET!

We have worked hard to provide opportunities for you to raise those funds in other ways:

1. OurFund – this is an email fundraising campaign that our guys will participate in starting later in November, after football players have had a chance to tryout for our teams. I will share more about it when the event nears. It is a great way to allow friends, neighbors, and long-distance family to support your son and his team.

2. Program Sponsorships – These are the signs that are in our gym and on our website that advertise local businesses who support our team and school. If you know of a business that might be interested, you can find the sponsorship form on our website and share it with them. Your son will get credit for 100% of the funds collected, and we offer 3 levels of sponsorships: online ($150), banner ($250), and premium ($500). With just ONE premium sponsor or TWO banner sponsors, your fees are covered!

If you prefer to pay all or part of the booster club fee with a credit card, or you can donate it digitally to our program PayPal account. Just send money to via PayPal to pay the remaining balance after adding up the total money your son has collected ($500 – fundraising total = amount due)

As always, if you have any questions you can reach me on my cell at 770-861-6840.

I am so grateful to be a part of the Cass Family and look forward to making this season a terrific experience for your son.

Thank YOU for getting your son to the gym, keeping him fed and focused on school, and encouraging him to always ask himself “What does the team need?”
